The more I use it, the more I think the Minolta X-700 might be the best film camera I've ever had.
my other blog at https://imperfect-composition.blogspot.com /. I am only posting there in the future. Thank you for stopping by!
Nice shot.
ReplyDeleteI keep hearing Good Things about the X-700. I've never used a Minolta but they were one of the names that were big back in the 70s. By the look of things they don't go for mad money. Damn. See what you've done?
My body and 50mm lens weren't expensive compared to some things like Nikon manual focus cameras. And extra lenses for it aren't expensive either. I bought a 28mm lens a while ago and I might get the 85mm to complete my set. So go on, you know you want one. :)
DeleteIt is a lovely camera but I haven't touched my X-700 in several months. I find myself using my XD-11 more often.
ReplyDeleteI liked the X-700 so much that I looked around for some other models. But except for the X-300, X-700, and a few compacts all branded Samsung-Minolta*, there is very little Minolta gear in the used shops here. I mentioned in a previous comment that I might get an 85mm lens, but I can't find one.
Delete*"Luxury" items such as cameras weren't allowed to be imported into Korea in the past. Unless the camera companies allowed big Korean companies like Samsung to stick their names on them. My camera is a Samsung-Minolta X-700.
